CAR INSURANCE COMPANY: ADRIAN FLUX
Website: http://www.adrianflux.co.uk
Type: Adrian Flux is an Independent Insurance Broker offering a complete range of car insurance products including specialist car insurance, classic car insurance and motor insurance for every type of vehicle and driver in the UK.

Our Car Insurance review team consisted of a wide cross section of the UK population, car makes and types , occupations and ages; the only common factor was that none of the team had bought car insurance online before.
The object of the car insurance review was to assess the ease of use, availability of online information, and the range of cover options and services offfered by the website; not just to compare car insurance quotes as available from an aggregator.

A. The site was visually unappealing and slow in emailing your quote. Many users didn't understand that the quote was being personally prepared by a human and were expecting an online response.
Q. Was the Website quick or slow?
A. Quick to collect the information but slow in returning the quote. Some respondents complained they had to wait 25 minutes to receive a quote!
Q. Was the site easy to use?
A. Very Simple.
Q. Were the Quotes competitve?
A. On average the quotes were the most competitive returned for the range of vehicles tested. When provided with previous quotes offered by others inlcuding the major aggregators, Flux managed to come up with better offers on nine out of ten occasions. Many were surprised by the fact that going to a broker can be cheaper than visiting a price comparison site and you receive the benefit of humans at the other end of the phone!

Q. On a scale of 1 to 5 , 1 being hard to use and 5 being very easy - how would you rate the Adrian Flux car insurance site?
A. 4 - very simple to use but frustrating if you were waiting for a quote. Many suggested that perhaps the phone option is faster.
